I want to wish the U.S. readers of this web site and listeners to my Podcast a very happy and healthy Thanksgiving holiday.
This web site is made possible by digital technology and the magic of the internet. Technologies that have allowed me to reach out to people in far flung place all over the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Greece, Germany, France, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia -- a total of over 110 countries at last count.
I'm a big fan of technology; so much so, that I recently decided to take on the by-name, "The Silicon Valley Gardener."
That said, Thanksgiving offers an opportunity to relax with family and be a little less available to the intrusions of the outside world that digital technology has also created. For a few hours today when you are with your families, I encourage the American readers of this blog to turn off your mobile devices and shut down the computers.
Below is a picture courtesy of Offlining.com that I hope will make you laugh and, perhaps, consider spending uninterrupted time with your family.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. I'll be back in touch next week.
Thanks Mark. Excellent post!
